How Splitify Uses Plaid for Secure Bank Connections

Plaid is our partner for secure bank connections. Your login credentials never touch Splitify—Plaid tokenizes access so we can sync transactions without storing sensitive details.

Tokenized access

You log in directly with your bank through Plaid. Plaid exchanges your credentials for a secure access token, and Splitify stores only the token necessary to refresh your data—never your actual username or password.

Data minimization

We request only the scopes required for Splitify to work. You can revoke access anytime from Splitify or your bank. Disconnecting removes the token from our systems.

Defense in depth

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, follow least-privilege access, and monitor for unusual activity. Logs are retained for troubleshooting and audited on a regular cadence.

Your control, always
